Moving together:
CALD in Communities
Collective Leisure partnered with the City of Parramatta and Transport NSW to deliver CALD Community in Focus, a pilot initiative designed to increase active and public transport engagement among culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
Through in-language workshops co-delivered with local partners, the program supported Chinese, Korean, and Indian residents to build confidence navigating Sydney’s transport system.
Grounded in strategic design and human-centred research, the initiative moved beyond awareness-raising to deliver experiential learning—covering trip planning, navigation, and system use. Evaluation showed 98% of participants improved their transport knowledge and 93% felt more confident using public transport. The program showcases the value of community-led, culturally responsive approaches in driving transport equity and social inclusion.

The annual Bankstown Senior College Well-being Program is now in its sixth year delivered across 3 weeks to Year 10 students.
This program is designed to guide students through an experiential learning of our Wheel of Well-being. This model is a holistic approach to personal well-being, encompassing explorations into Purpose, Emotional, Nourishment, Relationships, Environment, Financial, Spiritual, Physical, Growth, and the Power of Habits. This hands-on, holistic approach equips students with the tools they need to thrive in all aspects of life.
