Seniors Programs.

We provide engaging programs that reduce social isolation and loneliness through wholistic activities.

On behalf of local government and other organisations, we partner with local health districts and providers to co-design and deliver inclusive programs for seniors based on the Five Ways to Well-being.

We conducted pre- and post- program surveys of our 6-month pilot program at Lurnea Community Hub in 2023 in partnership with South Western Sydney Local Health District to understand the impact of the program on participants. Preliminary data reveals the following outcomes:

Outcomes

Be Active

Instructors provide gentle-moderate physical activity exercises suitable for people from 65-100+ with adjustments made for those who use mobility aids and injuries.

Be aware

Combining gentle physical activity, slow intentional movements and stretches with mindfulness.

Connect

We encourage seniors to build meaningful relationships, fostering a sense of belonging, mental wellbeing, and lasting social support

Help Others

Creating a community through social interaction, our participants comment on the friendships they have made through the group with other group members providing support when they are sick or injured and socialising outside of the group

Keep Learning

Continuous learning keeps seniors mentally active, boosts self-confidence, and enhances quality of life by maintaining cognitive health and fostering curiosity.
